I wouldn't say I'm excited about this remake of the 1990 Schwarzenegger film, but I'm not dismissing it by any means. I think conceptually, the original Total Recall is a very impressive film, and I am a little curious in light of the success of films like The Matrix and Inception if the filmmakers will make an effort to assume a more intelligent audience is able to keep up with the dream/reality motif of the story. It is a Philip K. Dick tale after all, and that guy knows how to write compelling science fiction. I'm also one of the few fans of the most recent Die Hard film, so having its director Len Wiseman helm the new Total Recall does sway me a bit. The action scenes do look pretty incredible. What do you think?
