One Hundred Films To See Before You Die

Wendymoon posted a list of the movies Yahoo! has deemed the 100 films to see before you die, noting the ones she has seen from the ones she hasn't. I'll do the same here, but I have to warn you. You are going to be surprised at how few of these I've seen. (I'll copy her method of bolding the ones I've seen and illustrate it further by right justifying them).

So that brings my final count to 58 of the 100. Well, it's a good thing I'm still in my early 20's is all I'm gonna say regarding that.

I'll add that I think the list is pretty worthy of the title of the 100 films to see before you die. From the ones that I've seen, I have no major beef. I'm a little disappointed that Moulin Rouge! didn't make the cut, and surprised to see Modern Times but no City Lights or Gold Rush.

Actually you've seen a pretty good number, I would say. More than I've seen from this list.

I was more surprised by the classics you've been missing. No Maltese Falcon or Third Man?? Those are two of my all-time favorites.

It Happened One Night and The Lady Eve are both a lot of fun; I think they would be easier to watch than Sunset Blvd. or On the Waterfront (although these are great too).

I may have seen a pretty good number, but the ones I haven't seen stand out. For the most part, I intend to see all of the remaining except for The Exorcist, Silence of the Lambs, and possibly Alien.

In fact, Raging Bull, Annie Hall, and Do the Right Thing are all required viewings for my American Film class, so in a few weeks, my count will be up to 61.

Good list, Id say I have seen half or maybe 60 of those films. Im surprised City of God isnt on that list, but also happy that Pulp Fiction is on it.

I just finished The Third Man today, bringing my count to 59. Now, with the films that I'll be watching for my film class, my total will be 62.

City of God was good. There are only so many spots available though.
